What you'll get up to

You're a small amoeba with a pub, a rusty ship and a lot of sweeping to do.

A packed bar at opening time, with order bubbles over the customers' heads — Run the Drift Inn: Doors open at 17:00. Last orders at 02:00. Grandpa's junk is still in the way.

The telescope view of the star map, with routes between nearby systems — A new galaxy every save: Every save rolls a new procedural galaxy. Every jump burns fuel. Run dry and the tow comes, but your haul doesn't.

The ship coming in to land on a purple crystal world — Land and forage: Pick whatever looks edible and crack open the crates. Some planets are pitch black, so bring a flashlight.

A card battle against a space pirate — Fight with your deck: Pirates hit hard. Frost wraiths come through portals. Win and you pick a new card.

Inside the Wayfarer: a long navy hull with light strips and fittings — Ships you live in: The Rustbucket takes a few goes to start. Save up for one with a bunk, a med pod or a hydroponics bed.

The trading board, listing where each good is cheapest — Buy low, sell high: Moon cheese might cost 17g out there and 23g at home. Sell too much in one day and the price drops.

Split-screen co-op: one player in the bar, one on the spaceport — Better with friends: Co-op for up to 4 online through Steam, or 2 on one couch. Someone has to mind the bar.
