FAQ

Quick answers about Outer Pub.

What is Outer Pub?

A cozy co-op game about running a bar in space. You serve customers at night, then fly out across a procedural galaxy to find what the bar needs.

When does it come out?

There's no date yet. Leave your email and we'll write when the doors open.

How much will it cost?

We haven't set a price yet.

What can I play it on?

PC, on Steam, and we test it on a Steam Deck. No other platforms have been announced. The current minimum specs are on the home page.

Can I play on my own?

Yes. The whole game works solo.

How does co-op work?

Up to 4 players online through Steam, or 2 on one couch with split screen. One of you can mind the bar while the others go on a trip.

Does it work with a controller?

Yes, the whole game does. Prompts match Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo pads, and every action can be remapped. Keyboard and mouse work too.

Is the galaxy really infinite?

Each save rolls a new galaxy of 40 star systems with 3–8 planets each, so there's no end to how many you can explore across saves.

What happens if I run out of fuel?

You get towed home. Your haul from that trip doesn't come with you.

Can I stream it or make videos?

Please do. The music is all original, written by James. There's also an optional Twitch mode where chat shows up as patrons and votes on what happens at the port.

What languages will it support?

English for now.

Who makes it?

James and his son.
